Lip Injection Q&A
Hyluronic Acid based Dermal Filler cross-linked with a supreme quality of Hyaluronic Acid and lidocaine. This filler was designed specifically to be used with the revolutionary injectable style that features a pressurized system called the Hyaluron Pen.
How Long do Fillers last?
Results last on average six to twelve months and require annual touchups. This time frame of retention may vary per individual and their independent lifestyle choices, aftercare and follow up sessions. Hyaluronic acid is naturally absorbed by the body over time. Each individual will metabolize the filler at a different time rate. Keep this in mind and understand this is a costly investment.
Can I get all my Syringes at once?
The soonest you can receive your subsequent syringe is no less than seven days apart for safety reasons. Overfilling in one treatment session can cause unwanted migration of filler that will create undesirable results. Not only migration can happen, but you run the risk of Necrosis. Necrosis means death to tissue. In this situation you would need to have the filler dissolved right away at your local ER / Dermatologists Office as this is an emergency situation.
How should I schedule my Syringes?
We recommended to schedule your sessions seven days from your last session. We have seen this specific schedule give significantly greater results compared to doing one session every few months. It will give you the best transformation and retention, as we are layering the filler in a shorter time frame. If you have already paid for your package, please contact us so we can schedule your appointments.
Will the Injections hurt?
No, most people are shocked at how painless it really is! Our fillers have Lidocaine in them which aids in the comfort of the client during the treatment. You can expect to feel a slight pinch / pressure.
What is the healing like?
Make sure to schedule your treatments in the evening or on a day that you are off from work. You will have significant swelling that should subside within 72 hours. Elevating your head while at rest, drinking plenty of fluids, and icing the area on and off will benefit you at this time. Some individuals have experienced Migraines, and or Vertigo post injections. This can be common in certain individuals, please note this should pass within 24 hours.
Note: Please keep in contact with your injector and notify them immediatley if any signs of infection, blanching ( discolored bruising that turns white or grey and spreads rapidly ), or any side effects that continue beyond the 72 hour mark. Blanching is considered a medical emergency and should be handled by your local ER or Dermatologist. Please make sure to follow pre / post care to prevent an infection and to aid in proper healing.
